On Windows, Adobe Photoshop CC has the option to run either a 32-bit or a 64-bit version. On Macintosh, only a 64-bit version is available.
Photoshop will automatically install the 32-bit version of Photoshop CC if you are on a 32-bit Windows OS. Photoshop will install both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Photoshop on a 64-bit Windows OS.
- On Mac, you cannot install to the root directory of the boot drive.
- Cannot install on case-sensitive file systems. Please see http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-case-sensitive-drives-supported.html.
- All features in Photoshop Extended CS6 are now available in Photoshop CC. Photoshop CC does not have a separate Extended offering.
- Adobe Bridge is no longer installed by default with Photoshop CC. Install options are available if you choose Browse In Bridge in the File menu. To download Bridge separately, log into Adobe Creative Cloud, navigate to Apps, and then download Bridge CC.
- Extension Manager and ExtendScriptToolKit are also no longer installed by default with Photoshop CC. To download them, log in to Adobe Creative Cloud, navigate to Apps, and then download the desired application.

Adobe offers a free Creative Cloud Membership that includes a trial of all Adobe desktop software. This allows you to evaluate individual products or editions, then convert the installed trial to a full version. You can convert from a trial to a full version at any time by signing up for a full Creative Cloud membership or a single-app membership. When purchasing a membership subscription, you are required to be online and to log in with an Adobe ID to start using your full version.

To use the product on a third computer, you will be presented on launch with the option to remotely sign out of one of the other systems. You may also first deactivate the software on one computer by choosing Help > Sign Out.
Some Adobe Product installers install fonts into a default system font directory. If the installer finds older versions of these fonts in the default system font directory, it will uninstall the older versions and save them to a new directory. The definitive photo editing application in the world, Adobe Photoshop CC is a continuation of the previous editions of Adobe's product, namely CS6, CS5, CS4 and so on.
Photoshop CC has some excellent new features, building upon the decades of development the program has seen. From content-aware healing fills, smart selection tools and a number of tools for professional photographers, this version of Adobe Photoshop is probably the best yet.
Like with other versions of Adobe Photoshop, CC has a very streamlined and minimalist approach to a graphical user layout. That isn't to say that it doesn't have a ton of features.
If you want to run Photoshop CC, you should expect to have a pretty modern PC running a good amount of RAM with a capable CPU and GPU. You might expect older PCs to get bogged down when opening larger images or doing extensive image manipulation.
With the menus have been changed slightly with CC, it didn't take very long for us to get used to the new arrangements (which were actually minimal). Thankfully, keyboard shortcuts remain traditional to older versions. If you haven't used Photoshop before or you are not a seasoned user, we highly recommend getting used to some of the keyboard shortcuts as this can shave a load of time off of whatever task you're working on.
Adobe also provides support for RAW image formats which makes it fully capable of working with images from digital cameras such as Canon, Sony, Nikon or others, including phones. This is by using Adobe Camera Raw.
As this software is rather expensive, Adobe offers a free trial download which is available as a link on this web page. Adobe Photoshop CC is offered as a downloader directly from Adobe.
